Veterinarians increasingly turn to alternative treatment methods to help heal pets

In 1998, when holistic veterinarian Dr. Lauren Chattigré first began practicing in Oregon, holistic medicine was “still considered very fringe.”

At a previous clinic, she says, a co-worker playfully labeled her homeopathy kit a “witch doctor box.”
