In the 1800s, homeopathy was a well-known form of treatment in the United States and Europe.
But at the time it was gaining widespread popularity, it became the object of animosity from orthodox medicine. With laws passing that regulated homeopathic remedies, holistic doctors had a hard time keeping in practice.
