I believe the field of medicine has a lot to learn from the holistic perspectives employed in alternative medicine, and I believe we, as doctors, should be educated regarding the principles of different methods in alternative medicine. On the other hand, we have an obligation to treat the patient in accordance with scientific evidence, which is why alternative medicine should be treated as what it is – not for us to use.
