Svenska Föreningen för Vetenskaplig Homeopati SFVH, firar 100-årsjubileum med en konferens om homeopatisk behandling av barn med neuropsykiatrisk funktionsnedsättning.

Philippa Fibert kommer bland annat att berätta om en studie hon utfört på barn med ADHD. Där en grupp som fick homeopatisk behandling jämförs med en annan grupp, en kontrollgrupp som inte fick homeopatisk behandling. (Skrolla ner för att läsa Philippas abstract)
Homeopatin är som vi vet, friare i andra länder och forskare har därmed möjlighet att utföra mer studier på homeopati. Homeopater har också laglig rätt att yrkesmässigt behandla barn under 8 år.
Välkomna till Konferensen den 10-11 oktober på Vår Gård, utanför Stockholm och var med om en kunskapsspäckad och spännande helg.
Konferensen är starkt subventionerad. Kostar endast 800 kronor för medlemmar. Icke medlem betalar 1 400 (icke medlem som i samma veva vill bli medlem betalar 880 kronor). Fika och mat ingår samt en trerättersmiddag på lördagkvällen. Anledningen till att vi slår på stort är att föreningen fyller 100 år i år. Och samtidigt som föreningen firar 100-årsjubileum vill vi också sprida kunskapen, via skickliga föredragshållare, att homeopati kan hjälpa barn med autism, Aspergers syndrom, ADHD, Tourettes syndrom m.m.

Philippa Fibert. Biography
After a career working with children with special needs, first as a teacher then as a parent educator, Philippa trained as a homeopath, and found it more effective for these children than anything she had done before. She integrated the two professions, specialising in the homeopathic treatment of children with behavioural disorders. However she encountered reluctance to use homeopathy within the mainstream education or health systems due to the lack of an evidence base.
So she embarked on research into this area: a B.Sc in Homeopathy, conducting a literature review of the trials of Homeopathy for ADHD; a research M.Sc conducting a case series examining the effectiveness of homeopathy for children with ADHD; and currently a PhD where she is currently conducting a clinical trial in the same area.

Gathering the evidence – the effectiveness of homeopathy for children with behavioural disorders.
From the personal to the global. This talk will cover my research and the global evidence for the effectiveness of homeopathy for ADHD and ASD. I will explain some of the inherent issues with homeopathy research, and how we are starting to overcome them.
I will present the results of the comparative consecutive case series which I conducted: a comparison between 20 children with diagnoses for ADHD receiving homeopathy and 10 children not receiving homeopathy. The rationale will be presented for the pragmatic randomised clinical trial I am currently conducting: a cohort multiple randomised controlled trial of treatment by homeopaths or nutritional therapists, compared to usual treatment, for children with ADHD.
An overview and critique of the other trials that have been conducted for ADHD and ASD will also be discussed. Finally a new project to collect routine evidence of the effectiveness of homeopathic treatment for children with ASDs will be presented, along with information on how to participate.
